Paraclete Funding

Many missions and nonprofits have been hit hard in the current economic environment. Paraclete is no exception. Mission-wide donations were down 16% for the 12-month period ending in May, compared to a year earlier. The majority of that loss was suffered by the ministries of Paraclete associates. A good portion of it falls in the Paraclete general fund that serves the whole mission. So we've had to put into place some serious cost-saving measures, and we may need to do more. One of the cuts in May was the underwriting of our salary. (We raise most of our salary, but $1,000/month had been paid by the Paraclete general fund.) Gulp! God is good. He has provided all of our needs. Donations to the Paraclete general fund and the Volkhardt ministry fund are very appreciated--these days more than ever.
