When we sent out our SOS email asking for prayer, we felt that it would be difficult to find a replacement Operations Manager for Paraclete before our beloved John Millstead was to assume new responsibilities in his brother's company. It looked like Glen and others would have to learn the ins and outs of the Operations job to be able to train a new person after John left. Working quickly, Glen and Kim Thompson, Paraclete's HR Lead, published the job on LinkedIn, Facebook, and the Paraclete website, and notified our associates as well as you, our faithful partners and prayer warriors. To our amazement, over 300 people saw the job postings, and we received 14 applications, two of whom were highly qualified for the job! We interviewed the two, and it became clear that God was leading us to Jonathan Delfosse. We extended an invitation to Jonathan to lead our Operations department. He was able to come onboard quickly, and he had a full week to overlap with John for direct training. John has offered to be on call to answer questions for another 90 days, and the transition is going very smoothly. Pray for Jonathan. Even as a quick study, he has a lot to master! And pray for John Millstead, as he learns the ropes in a new job.
Jonathan comes from a rich background of running a family business, working in the marketplace, and significant volunteer roles in the church. We were delighted to discover that Jonathan grew up very close to where we lived during our time in Miami! He also was the media director at Christ Fellowship where good friends have been actively involved for many years! Thanks for the unlisted reference, Mary! We are happy to welcome Jonathan and his wife, Wendy, to the Paraclete team! (At Paraclete when an individual joins us, we consider their spouse to be an unofficial part of our community.)
