Life Group -- Growth Group

Three years ago we began co-leading a home group from our church. Whenever we are in town we have the joy of hosting it as well. But we've gotten too big. If everyone and their children to attend, we would total 60 people! The largest group of adults we have had in the living room is 27 and we were squeezed in, sitting on the stairs, floor, etc... So we are going to divide the group in January. It's bitter sweet.

As a group we have faced all kinds of trauma, car accidents, brain injury, job losses, surgeries, paralysis, death of family members, illnesses, pregnancy, difficult children, painful family situations, etc... We have prayed, wept and believed God together and seen Him work. We have forged a sweet bond of community that we'd never know if life was easy. We have grown in the Lord through sharing one another's burdens and insights into the scriptures. It will be hard to not see each other every week, but we are excited about how God is going to build two communities, while we continue to love and hold each other up.

Our new group will be studying I Peter in the New Year, another couple will co-lead with us and others will host when we have to travel. Our name is The Hands and Feet of Jesus. The other group is thinking about calling themselves, Hands and Feet of Jesus Too!
