One of my favorite responsibilities is serving on the board of Hope of the Harvest with a delightful group of dynamic women. Hope of the Harvest sits under the umbrella of Women of the Harvest, an organization that ministers to American missionary women around the world. I have had the joy and privilege of working overseas with Women of the Harvest several times.
Hope provides missionary women with tools to train national women they work with to develop a business plan, learn business skills and spiritual priniciples. After preliminary training, they can apply to Hope of the Harvest for small loans. The "Circles of Hope" then work on life skills of learning how to improve their spiritual lives, how to save money and pay back the loans. We have been thrilled at the impact that the prototype group has had. Interest in Hope of the Harvest is growing and we are poised on the brink of an explosion of opportunities to help needy women around the world!
