It was my pleasure to participate in the NAMLC this September in Charlotte, North Carolina. The conference was co-sponsored by The Mission Exchange, Cross Global Link and the Evangelical Missiological Society. The theme of the gathering was diversity so workshops and plenary sessions featured "diverse" communities. I wasn't the only one to notice that the crowd was largely white, male, and over 50!
A highlight was a CEO roundtable meeting of 45 mission leaders. We saw a presentation on mission and church growth trends by Scott Moreau of Wheaton College, and we were led through an exercise to identify what we would like to achieve, avoid, preserve and eliminate.
