Hands and Feet of Jesus

That's the name of a home group that meets in our home. We chose that name because we wanted to be the hands and feet of Jesus to each other and to others to whom we minister as a group. Mountain Springs Church where we attend calls these gathering "Life Groups." We have never talked about the group in this blog. We treat everything shared in the group with confidentiality. That's not changing because of this post! We just wanted you to know that we enjoy rich fellowship with a group of friends on a weekly basis. It's almost time for our summer schedule when we do barbecues in our back yard. Sometimes I can convince someone to play horse shoes with me! Through out the year we meet for fellowship, Bible study and prayer support. We have been in 1 John for a long time. Once we read Sacred Rhythms, by Ruth Haley Barton. With all of our travel leading the group would be impossible except that we are blessed with many folk who could be leading a group on their own, so finding someone from the group to fill in and do a superb job is never a problem.
