Volkhardt Family Update

We had the privilege of all being together to celebrate
Shelly's mother's life on the 16th of June in Oregon.  Although the grieving was deep, so was the joy!

Culver, Carl, Jamie and their little Yael Grace joined Glen and me on the platform at Mom's service and Yael did her first crawl then. She was headed for the flowers! Yael blessed us with many smiles that difficult week! Our little blessing turns one in September.
In May Carl completed his year-long study for licensing to be a school principal.  We're very proud of him.  He was a new daddy, taught, was the Freshman Teacher Team Lead all while studying!
We are now praying for a Principal position that will use his talents and gifting.  In the meantime, he continues to teach history at Atlas Prep School and serve as the Team Lead.  Jamie is looking for ways to be able to earn some income and stay at home to take care of Yael.
Culver has had a very painful year personally.  In February, his wife of 19 months, told him she didn't want to be married any longer.  We are all grieving.  He has since moved into a house with three of his good friends.

On the work front, Culver is doing well.  He's currently an Assistant Manager at Dutch Brother's Coffee, on track for a manager-ship in the near future.  His ultimate hope is to become a franchise owner.
