Happy Missionaries!

In November of 2019 Paraclete began using the employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) to survey associate (what we call our missionaries) satisfaction.  It is built into our HR system, and it runs as an anonymous survey every six months.  We have three complete surveys now, and the results have been very encouraging.

First a little background. The eNPS is a standardized method of ranking employee satisfaction used widely in the U.S. and beyond. Here’s how it works…

Employees are asked the question "On a scale of 0-10, how likely are you to refer your company as a place to work?" and then a follow up question to explain their answer.  The follow up question depends on the score they give.

Here’s how Paraclete came out in the last survey…

So is that good or bad?  On the eNPS scale between -100 and +100 a score above zero is considered acceptable (more promoters than detractors).  Many think that a score of 30 is good.  Above 50 is thought to be excellent.  81 is really up there, above many world-class companies.  Here's a graphic of the best scores in the world from a 2018 Report by Relationwise, a company that specializes in the NPS (for customers) and the eNPS (for employees).

You might be thinking, "Fine, but do happy employees make for results beyond the four walls of the workplace?"  The short answer, it turns out, is that yes, they do!  But I won't go any deeper in this post.  For more information on eNPS just Google it.  Or try this article from Leapsome, an HR and management consulting firm.  The full report behind the Top 10 graphic above from Relationwise is available on their homepage.  Our HR system, BambooHR, also has a video to explain how eNPS works...

And what does all of this have to do with a Christian mission?  In a nutshell, associates who are well served in the pursuit of their calling, produce amazing kingdom fruit.  They also make great word-of-mouth recruiters.  Praise God!

I have no doubt that PMG is hi in satisfaction ratings. We typically are here because of significant experiences that lead us to find a better fit rather than settle for lesser, hoping it will all turn out.
