Colorado Fall

Phantom Canyon Road, 2014
Colorado is a wonderful place to be this time of year.  Autumn breezes take the edge off mid-summer heat.  It looks like summer out the window, but it doesn't feel like summer outside! Our monsoon rains are largely behind us, and people start heading up into the mountains where high-elevation Aspens come into their gold before their cousins lower down.

The children in our neighborhood catch their school buses near our home, and they’ve been lining up for their rides for a few weeks now—a reminder to the rest of us that it’s time to return to normal life.
