In January, I had the joy and challenge of teaching Kitchen Table Counseling in a day-long seminar at the Navigators beautiful conference center nestled up against Pikes Peak.

A Wall of Pearls

God brought a sold-out crowd to fill the Great Hall and they had to open up the balcony for attendees!  I’ll be doing an encore seminar on November 14 if you know anyone who is interested.

At the end of most sessions of a Kitchen Table Counseling Seminar, I ask women to write down a “pearl” they gleaned in the session.  The pearls do not have to be from the teaching, they can be whatever the Lord impressed on them during that hour.  It is a helpful way to reinforce what they gleaned and give me an idea of what touched them.  The following are a few “pearls” from the Kitchen Table Counseling Seminar at Glen Eyrie on January 24, 2015.

• Identity in Jesus is not her wounding 
• Don’t live like you’re an orphan!
• Be quiet! Let her fill in the blanks.
• Jesus HEALS
• We have no power to heal- But Jesus does.
• Encourager
• Smell like Jesus… She smells like my Son.
• Not there to provide answers
• Authentic
• Help her to become independently dependent (on Christ and not me)
• Forgiveness is the bottom line problem.
• She needs to walk through the process. Don’t leapfrog her to resolution- even if you hear God saying there will be victory at the end.
