One of the
ways Mom has trained women is through her Kitchen Table Counseling (KTC) seminars. I had the sacred honor of putting her
material into book form which was published by NavPress some years ago. The book has been translated into Spanish and
is in the translation process in at least two other languages.
My first
call to missions—also at 13 years of age--was to serve God in China as well. But I am SO glad that He saw fit to put a
Latin heart into this body that was “made in Taiwan” even though I've never forgotten my original "call" to serve.
I was in
Oregon in February staying with Dad and Mom between ministering at women’s
conferences. There are no words to describe how deeply moved the three of us
were when a package arrived and we held in our hands the
Chinese translation of Kitchen Table Counseling! The book was translated carefully with the
idea that it would be applicable to both men and women. We understand that there is very little
training material in Chinese. Can you
see from the picture how elated we are?!
Both Mom's and my little
girl dreams have become a reality—not the way we imagined way back then, but in
a much broader manner than we could have ever hoped!
Many of
God’s people, including Daddy and Mother, sacrificed financially and in other ways so that Kitchen
Table Counseling could be translated and printed into Chinese. Many books have already been distributed to
pastors and churches in China. And just last week a Chinese-American Pastor's wife taught 2 KTC seminars in major cities in China. Attendance at one seminar was 120! Double what they hoped for.
Please
join us in praying is that God will use it mightily for His Kingdom!
