Biola University Alumni Award
Shelly and I were given the Clyde Cook Alumni Award for missionary service from our Alma Mater. It was fun to be back on campus at Biola University where Shelly and I graduated (then Biola College) in 1977. Few of the profs and students we knew in those days attended the student body chapel event, but there were a few familiar faces, and we hung around after the alumni brunch to talk of the old days and the new days, and where we had been in our journeys from then to now. Clyde Cook (see the photo) was a former president of Biola and a family friend, but no relationship to Shelly's Cook family. Biola produced a video for the award ceremony and also put out a press release.
