On the family front, we’ve enjoyed watching Carl and Jamie grow as a married couple. We helped them move twice--once due to burst water-pipes and again when their lease was up. Jamie got a new job at a charter school. Now she and Carl have the same days off. Carl continues to teach and serve as athletic director at Monument Academy while finishing his Master’s degree. We hope to celebrate his graduation next May.
Culver turned twenty in May. He continues to work and take classes at the local community college. This summer he had two dream jobs. One was as a rock climbing guide for guests from the exclusive Broadmoor Hotel who wanted to climb in Colorado. The other was literally “hanging out” high above Colorado Springs on the ropes course of Cave of the Winds, a tourist destination here. He is now working hard at Red Robin with the hope of moving up in the company. “Paracleting” grown children is a new paradigm for us, and we are grateful that the Holy Spirit guides while giving wisdom and grace when we can’t come up with it on our own!
