COICOM

Since 1992 I have been a part of COICOM, a Latin American Christian media association. We hold an annual convention that moves from country to country. See the post on last year's event in Colombia. Last week the COICOM board met in Miami. It was a pure pleasure. There are always problems to discuss, and we never have enough money to do everything we can dream up, but the relationships with these committed men and women are rich. They have helped sustained my spiritual life over the last 15 years.

The two men pictured above are Luis Fernando Solares of Guatemala (left), and Arnold Enns of Bolivia. Luis Fernando is the COICOM Board chairman. He is a pastor of a very large church in Guatemala City and the President of Channel 27, and Christian television station there. He is one of the most Godly men in my life and I cherish his friendship and his prayer for me. Arnold is the Executive President of COICOM. He is a multi-cultural Paraguayan with German, Latin and North American roots. He manages COICOM's huge base of friends and volunteers with a small dedicated full-time staff.

It was great to be with these men and others for fellowship, business, prayer and planning. Next year's conference will be in Panama!
