The HCJB Global board of Trustees has established three groups of recipients that the mission is to reach.- Those people groups who have not heard the gospel,
- Those people groups with limited access to the Gospel, and
- Those we can mobilize to join us in service.
When we first began trying to implement a strategy to comply with this direction, we viewed the three directives as lying along a single continuum. The more we studied the idea the more we thought that the first two are really "apples and oranges" -- independent variables. A people group with limited access might have heard or not. The GRId at right show how these concepts intersect forming four quadrants. High access and many believers could be called the Free Church. High access and few believers can be thought of as Resistant People Groups. Low access and few believers represent the truly unreached. While many believers and low access make up the Oppressed Church. Where are those we mobilize? Leave your ideas as a comment on this post.
