That could have been the name of Colorado if the Spaniards had come through in a year like this one. As in Flor-EE-dah, Spanish for "flowered."  It has been an unusually wet year, and you can tell! Here's a July 2015 collection from the new Brown's Canyon National Monument, near Salida, CO.
